About this service

Open the Gate is provided as an independent, non-commercial calculator without user accounts, paid services or a published personal contact profile.

Calculator inputs

Sensor values, camera choices, capture settings and delivery settings are calculated locally in the browser. The application does not send these inputs to the server and does not store them in browser storage.

Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Hostinger. When the website is accessed, Hostinger's web servers automatically process technical request data. According to Hostinger's documentation, access logs can include the time of access, IP address, requested resource, device and browser information, country, transferred data volume, response time and HTTP status.

This processing is necessary to deliver the website, maintain security and stability, diagnose errors and obtain a basic aggregate overview of website use. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The application itself does not read these logs, combine them with other data or create visitor profiles.

The applicable retention periods, processing locations and subprocessors depend on the selected Hostinger plan and the current hosting agreement. These settings should be reviewed in the Hostinger account before launch.

No application analytics

Open the Gate does not send analytics events and does not use Google Analytics, advertising networks or third-party tracking pixels. Any basic traffic overview viewed by the operator is derived from the hosting provider's server logs.

Recipients, retention and transfers

Hostinger acts as a hosting service provider and may use subprocessors as described in the applicable hosting agreement and data processing addendum. The operator does not export the access logs or maintain a separate visitor database. Log retention is governed by the selected Hostinger plan and its current settings.

If personal data is processed outside the European Economic Area, Hostinger's current data processing terms describe the safeguards used for those transfers. The actual hosting region, retention settings and list of subprocessors should be checked in the Hostinger account before launch and after material contract changes.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, data subjects may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability. They may also object to processing based on legitimate interests and lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

External links and local assets

Fonts, images, styles and scripts are served locally with the application or use fonts already installed on the visitor's device. Manufacturer references are ordinary external links, not embedded plugins. A connection to those providers is made only after a visitor chooses to open a link.
